The challenge today, Matt says, is that specialization into professional focuses such as architecture, engineering, landscape architecture, and planning has left things rather discombobulated. The urban designer’s endeavor is to figure out where parts of the urban landscape overlap and complement one another and create a place that feels – to quote Goldilocks – just right.
