Maple Island Effluent Lift Station
« Return to Project SearchMaple Island, Inc., selected Ayres to provide design, bidding, and construction services associated with a proposed pump station and force main project in Medford. As part of the food production company’s wastewater treatment and disposal process, Maple Island is seeking to pump effluent from its treatment pond to the City of Medford’s sanitary sewer system for final treatment before discharge to the Black River.
This will be achieved by installing a pump station, controls, and force main from the pond to the sanitary sewer manhole in Industrial Drive. The station will be an above-ground heated simplex pump station with metering and controls integrated to the wastewater treatment plant so that the City can turn the pump on and off.
Ayres’ services included topographic survey of the pump station area and force main route to the Industrial Drive sanitary manhole; preparation of design documents, plans, and details; preparation of technical specifications for use in obtaining pricing; attending meetings; preparation of an easement exhibit map and legal description of the route across the City garage property; and preparation of a utility crossing permit for CTH O.
