Iowa I-80 Bridge Inspection

Burgess & Niple retained Ayres as a subconsultant for the routine inspection of the I-80 bridge over the Missouri River between Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Omaha, Nebraska, for the Iowa Department of Transportation. The bridge is a multi-span steel girder bridge supporting eastbound and westbound traffic. Rope access and free climbing techniques were used to inspect the bridge. Ayres inspected the bridge’s lateral bracing connections.
