Gresham School Renovation & Expansion

« Return to Project Search

Gresham School District hired Ayres to provide referendum planning and design services for the School District’s addition and renovation. After evaluating building conditions, it was determined that the 1935 three-story structure would be removed to make way for two additions totaling 20,300 square feet. The design also included a 5,500-square-foot renovation as a part of the $6.5 million upgrade to the existing facility.

Designed to be completed in two phases, the first phase featured new classrooms for the middle and high schools, a music room, offices, and a new Career and Technology space. The second addition included a new secured entrance and a commons area cafeteria with commercial kitchen that serves all K-12 students. Existing spaces were renovated to create two new classrooms, an updated art room, and modernized restrooms.

Ayres provided an existing building study, referendum planning, public involvement meetings, architectural and interior design, structural and civil engineering, and site survey services.
