Governor Thompson State Park Civil Design & Landscape Architecture
« Return to Project SearchThe Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources retained our team to develop concepts and detailed construction documents for Governor Tommy Thompson Centennial State Park in Crivitz. The park contains more than 2,400 acres of woodlands, wetlands, small kettle lakes, and 6 miles of shoreline on the Peshtigo River.
Park improvements included a 100-site campground, two boat launch facilities, various day use areas, pit toilets, two swimming beaches with support infrastructure, dock structures, more than 6 miles of internal park roadways, and the main park entrance feature.
Site challenges included unstable soils, wetland pockets, high bedrock seams, and intermittent streams crisscrossing the property.
Our team provided start-to-finish services, including survey, landscape architecture, civil engineering, regulatory permitting, and construction administration.
