Cumberland Dam Design
« Return to Project SearchAyres completed a dam failure analysis for the Cumberland Dam, owned and operated by Barron County, and determined the dam’s spillway needed to be capable of passing the 100-year flood. The existing dam consisted of a corrugated metal pipe with an old gate system on the upstream side. Ayres designed a new dam that has a fixed-crest spillway with a low water draw, allowing for more consistent lake levels and easier operation of the dam.
