Cass Street Bridge Routine and Fracture Critical Inspection
« Return to Project SearchThe Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) retained Ayres to complete the routine and fracture critical inspection of the Cass Street bridge over the Mississippi River in La Crosse. The 2,532-foot bridge carries two lanes of westbound USH 14 and USH 61 traffic to Barron Island near the Minnesota state line. Ayres provided a four-person field team to complete the inspection. The team gathered notes and digital photos and provided a report regarding the bridge’s condition to WisDOT. Ayres used rope access techniques and a lift truck to safely complete the inspection.
