Since 2001, Ayres has been helping the City of Ashland redevelop three properties known collectively as the Beaser redevelopment site. The properties are the former Tomlinson Construction building, Roffers roundhouse building, and Chicago Iron site. Services have included preparing successful grant applications, conducting Phase 1 and 2 environmental site assessments (ESAs), and helping the City plan for development of the site.
Applications prepared by Ayres have resulted in more than $500,000 in grant funding for the City. In addition, Ayres has provided grant administration and planning services. The City retained Ayres to evaluate redevelopment scenarios for the Beaser site, including preparing concept plans, providing cost estimates, participating in public meetings, and making recommendations to the City.
