zach_nienow_2015Zach Nienow, GISP, project manager in our aerial mapping group, has joined the Wisconsin Land Information Association’s Board of Directors. With nearly 12 years of experience in geospatial sciences, Nienow designs and leads lidar, orthoimagery, and digital mapping projects from flight to delivery. He serves a diverse range of clients in the private and public sectors, including many counties and municipalities in Wisconsin.

As project coordinator for the Wisconsin Regional Orthophotography Consortium (WROC), Nienow helped lead many aspects of the statewide mapping procurement program for members and partners in 2015-2016. WROC collected high resolution imagery over 43 member counties and aerial lidar (light detection and ranging) for topographic mapping over 13 counties.

Nienow has been a member of WLIA since 2012 and says he has greatly benefited from participating in many of the regional and annual conferences. He wants to give back to WLIA by taking an active role in the advancement of land information systems in Wisconsin.

Nienow is a certified geographic information system professional. He earned a bachelor of science degree in 2004 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with an emphasis on GIS/cartography and physical geography. He works in our Madison Terrace Drive office.
