Neal Gresham, PE, joins Ayres with 38 years of previous experience with engineering consultants, a state department of transportation (DOT), and a construction contractor. As manager of the Municipal Design and CEI Group in our Southeast Division, Gresham plays a key role in shaping the future of this team, mentoring employee-owners, and representing Ayres in the Florida marketplace. His technical and leadership experience prepares him well to oversee Ayres’ general civil engineering, water/wastewater utility engineering, and construction engineering inspection experts.

Gresham has been responsible for managing large teams of professionals over the past two decades. His strategic and creative mindset has brought him success in leading project teams and entire business units. Gresham has demonstrated success within a range of project delivery methods, including design-build highway projects and traditional design-bid-build efforts. His experiences as a consultant, contractor, and DOT employee make him a valuable leader with a comprehensive view of how projects get done.

“Ayres is fortunate to find such a great fit with Neal,” says Subrata Bandy, PE, vice president for the Southeast Division. “Beyond his technical ability, Neal brings the right demeanor to the job. His vast experience, mature presence, and natural mentoring capabilities will help his group grow and serve our clients well.”

Gresham is a registered professional engineer and holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Akron. He is a member of the Construction Management Association of America, of which he was a chapter secretary from 2005 through 2007. Gresham won the 2013 Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award from the University of Akron.
