Johrendt Promoted to Project Manager
Austin Johrendt, PE, has been promoted to project manager in the Engineering Services Group in Ayres’ Waukesha, Wisconsin, office.
Johrendt joined Ayres in 2017 with experience in construction observation and inspection. He now provides project management, design, and analysis for both municipal and private site/civil projects, prioritizing building relationships with clients and working with them to achieve their desired outcomes. As a project manager, he is continuously involved with projects from the initial proposal and concept planning phase through design, permitting, and construction.
Johrendt’s experience comprises community park site design, multifamily residential, commercial, and municipal utilities and roadways. His responsibilities include preparing plans, specifications, and bidding documents; preparing permit applications and stormwater management plans; and completing studies, modeling, reports, letters, and cost estimates for a variety of projects. Construction phase tasks include on-site construction observation and construction contract administration.
Johrendt also has led Ayres’ initiative to grow a facilities inspection and management program and has won numerous site stormwater inspection contracts for public and private sites, including multiple repeat clients. This work has involved multiple groups within Ayres.
“Austin has become a valued asset among his clients, showing them that he cares not only about their projects, but also about them,” says Mike Payant, PE, manager of engineering services. “He understands our work has the power to make life easier for our clients and their constituents. Austin also looks out for his co-workers and mentors others on his teams.” Johrendt is a registered professional engineer in Wisconsin and Colorado. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
