Rogney Promoted to Project Manager in Water Resources
Mike Rogney, PE, has been promoted to project manager in the Water Resources group. An energetic and professional presence on any project, Rogney benefits clients with his decade of experience with engineering analysis of dams and other physical alterations of surface waters, including dam design, repair, and rehabilitation; dam abandonment and removals; dam inspections; emergency response; fisheries and waterfowl habitat design; and hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.
Rogney’s 10 years as a water management engineer with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the rules and implementation of Wisconsin’s dam safety, floodplain, waterway, and wetland programs, as well as the National Flood Insurance Program.
“Mike knows the WDNR permitting processes backward and forward,” says Pete Haug, PE, manager of Water Resources. “If I need to make sure I understand the finer points of the process and how best to communicate with the key WDNR decision makers, I go to Mike, and so do our clients.” Rogney is a registered professional engineer in Wisconsin and holds a bachelor’s degree in biological systems engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
