Phillips Well No. 7 Siting, Design & Construction

The City of Phillips chose Ayres to assist with locating, designing, and constructing a new water supply well. The Well No. 7 project involved submitting a Safe Drinking Water Loan Program application and a Community Development Block Grant Public Facilities Grant application, conducting a well site investigation study and test pumping, designing the well and well house, and providing construction administration and grant administration.
The project was awarded CDBG funding of $500,000, a Safe Drinking Water Loan of $1,080,000, and a Safe Drinking Water Grant of $500,000. The Safe Drinking Water funds are aimed at helping public water utilities comply with public health protection objectives.
