Hobby Lobby Remodel at Oakwood Mall

« Return to Project Search

Ayres was hired to provide structural engineering services to assist in the remodel of a portion of Oakwood Mall in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The space was remodeled so that Hobby Lobby could open a store in the area previously occupied by Macy’s. The remodel included an altered entrance on the east side of the building. The structural system involved light-gauge steel framing, steel beams, steel columns, and shallow spread footing foundations.

Services include evaluating the existing structure adjacent to the east entrance modification, performing structural design for the new east entrance, preparing structural construction drawings for the entrance modification, and providing bidding and construction phase services.
